Australia’s celebrated electronica group, RÜFÜS DU SOL, has had an excellent year. The trio from South Wales has completed a massively successful 2022 world tour to promote their latest number 1 album, Surrender. They also won a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Recording for the single “Alive.” Their alternative/electronic fusion muisc also garnered Grammy nominations in 2020 and again in 2023. They received another Best Dance/Electronic Album nomination for their chart-topping album, Surrender. Besides dominating the Australian chart, the 2021 effort topped the Billboard Heatseekers and number 2 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums. Surrender dropped several critically-acclaimed hits, such as the Grammy Award-winning hit “Alive,” “Next To Me,” “On My Knees,” and “I Don’t Wanna Leave.”
When it comes to topping the chart, RÜFÜS DU SOL had no problem achieving this feat. The trio made an immediate breakthrough in 2013 with their debut album, Atlas. The platinum-certified spawned several alternative/dance staples, such as “Take Me,” “Desert Night,” and “Tonight.” Three years after their stellar debut, RÜFÜS DU SOL once again topped the Australian charts with Bloom. The album was their first effort to succeed beyond their home country when it entered the charts in New Zealand.
