The Grammy nominated group is the trailblazer of East Coast rap. The raw sound made them one of the early purveyors of the New York rap scene. They first made waves in 1993 with their monumental debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The album became so successful that it eventually sold over four million copies in the US. Their sophomore effort, Wu-Tang Forever, also did just as well in addition to topping the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The group released a total of seven impressive studio efforts and sold over 40 million albums worldwide.
The Grammy winning group released the massive hit, “Tha Crossroads,” in 1996. The single went to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and two other charts. The song, which earned double platinum, follows a series of breakthrough singles, but it was this one that put them on the mainstream map. The single was spawned from 1995 effort E.1999 Eternal. Bone Thugs N Harmony moved on leading a highly successful career, earning a Grammy Award for “Tha Crossroads,” with two American Music Awards, and a Billboard Muisc Award.
