There’s no time to wait… because tickets for THE STROKES’ upcoming tour are in high demand! The “Reptilia,” “Last Nite,” and “Juicebox” hitmakers are embarking on a REALITY AWAITS tour, in support of their upcoming album of the same name. Before they go global, the band is embarking on a slew of North American dates on the list, including this stop in Toronto. Kicking it off this summer, get ready to feel the heat as The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, Nikolai Fraiture, Albert Hammond Jr., Fabrizio Moretti, and Nick Valensi cranks it up — the beat, those synths, electric guitars, and more in a show that packs their best hits & new music live on stage.

ABOUT THE ALBUM

Marking their first release since their 2020 album “The New Abnormal,” fans have patiently waited for official word on new music coming out. Now, it’s finally turning into reality, and there’s no time to wait. 

Launching the new era in full swing, The Strokes shared the album’s lead single “Going Shopping.” Mailing the track to 100 fans on cassette tape, the song was made available on streaming platforms shortly after. As NME describes the track as something that possesses “polarising autotune, tidy guitars and flashes of energy,” it’s overstimulation at its finest. After a taste of what “Reality Awaits” could bring, it definitely seems that the band is working on leveling up their sound.

Atwood Magazine describes the song as “restless, electrifying, and irresistibly upbeat rush of indie rock that finds them navigating identity, impulse, and the strange, overstimulated rhythm of modern life.”

THE STROKES’ LEGACY

The Strokes was formed in New York City, in 1998. Across six albums, the band released iconic bangers, and it all stems from their demo EP “The Modern Age,” which led to a bidding war among major labels, following the hype that their independent release had started. Their debut album “Is This It” became critically acclaimed, highly regarded as one of the best rock albums out there, with fellow musicians taking inspiration from the record. With singles like “Last Nite,” “Reptilia,” “Someday,” “Juicebox,” “12:51,” and “Under Cover of Darkness” across their career, they garnered a cult following for their indie rock & garage rock revival tunes.

Right in the heart of Toronto, RBC Amphitheatre is one of the city’s best spots for live shows. Formerly known as the Budweiser Stage, the venue has hosted over 800 shows since it opened in 1995. Millions of hearts have rocked out and celebrated right under the stars — as their favorite artists lit up the night.
