Kennedy wrote much of the new record in a studio close to his home in Ireland, and spending some time in Nashville. With songs that share stories of looking back to his heritage, nature, peace, and deep reflections on nature and solitude, he definitely took the time to look inward, and now he's ready to share these emotive and personal reflections through the album and his upcoming tour.
"To me, the album is a beautiful homegrown thing with Irish instruments and an Irish story," Kennedy shared in an official statement. "There’s a forest behind my house, which is a haven for my sense of wonder. It’s a peaceful place where I can escape."
He adds that the album was created with the sense of being able to hop out with just a guitar or his piano, "I’m certain that I can sing to a room full of people. It’s where I’m the most comfortable. I wanted that element to be front-and-center on this album."
