Simon received 16 Grammy Awards which included three Album of the Year prizes and he became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice as Simon & Garfunkel with Art Garfunkel and then as a solo artist. Simon received a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of his achievements.

Fun fact: Paul Simon composed "The Sound of Silence" in his bathroom because he discovered the tile walls generated superior sound quality than all other areas of his residence.
