Elizabeth Catherine McAlpine is an American singer-songwriter who was born on September 21, 1999. McAlpine, who was up in the Philadelphia suburbs, rose to fame by sharing original music and covers on SoundCloud and YouTube.

Lizzy McAlpine's musical style has been described as a "blend" of jazz, pop, and R&B, as well as indie pop and folk. Her debut album, Give Me a Minute (2020), featured a folk and folk-pop focus. Her collaborators include Jacob Collier, Dodie, Tom Rosenthal, Ben Kessler, Noah Kahan, John Mayer, Finneas, and Thomas Headon.

2018 saw the release of McAlpine's debut EP, Indigo.[12] During her fall 2019 studies in Spain, she wrote her debut studio album, Give Me a Minute.[12] The album was widely praised when it was released in August 2020 and has since been streamed millions of times on Spotify and other digital service providers.[15][16] The Dallas Observer named it one of the best albums of 2020,[17] and BBC Media Center referred to her as a "up-and-coming vocalist."[18] In April 2021, McAlpine released an 8-song EP, When the World Stopped Moving: The Live EP.[19] On November 22, 2021, McAlpine made her late-night debut, performing "Erase Me" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Although McAlpine objects to the term, she has gained popularity on TikTok and Instagram. Her unreleased song "You Ruined the 1975," which was uploaded in June 2020, has received over 8 million views on TikTok as of April 2021. [24] Several outlets have dubbed McAlpine a "TikTok star."

April 8, 2022 saw the release of McAlpine's second studio album, Five Seconds Flat. The album peaked at number nine on the Alternative New Artist Albums and number 19 on the Top New Artist Albums charts. "Ceilings," the album's most streamed song, became viral on TikTok. "Ceilings" peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100, with over 230 million streams.

In support of her third studio album, Older (2024), American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine is embarking on her second concert tour, dubbed the Older Tour. It's scheduled to run from April 21, 2024, in San Diego, to October 31, 2024, in Dublin. There will be 29 performances total, spread throughout North America and Europe. The Ally Coalition, an LGBTQ youth charity, will receive a part of ticket sales revenue.
