A 2024 tour is cool and all, but there's more... according to guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch, brand-new music from KoRn will be arriving this year!!! “It would be a push to call this KoRn’s first ‘happy’ album. More accurately, ‘Requiem’ has brought something new to a discography that, until now, has been an exploration of human suffering. It’s led to the band’s most nuanced record to date.”
The 25-date KoRn 2024 Tour begins this September at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL, and will make stops here at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, ON, on September 25th 2024, plus; Chicago, IL; Phoenix, AZ; Houston, TX and more before wrapping up in St. Paul, MN at Xcel Energy Center in late October. There is, however, one very special show, that's already sold out... A milestone 30th anniversary show in Los Angeles, which will host alongside KoRn, Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway, Spiritbox and Vended!!! However, for the rest of the tour, KoRn will be joined by Gojira and Spiritbox.
KoRn is a band that is bigger than just how many Awards they have, or how many platinum certifications their albums receive. They are “a genuine movement in a way bands cannot be now,” says The Ringer. "They represent a new archetype and radical innovation, their ability to transcend genre makes barriers seem irrelevant."
NuMetal, a name you cannot but associate with KoRn because they created it. The release of their self-titled debut album in 1994, changed the fabric of Rock and Metal music, pioneered a new genre. Since then, the band has sold in excess of 40 million albums worldwide, debuted 12 albums in the top ten of the Billboard 200, 7 of their albums are platinum, 2 are double platinum, and 1 is an insane five times platinum! And, they've taken home 2 Grammy Awards.
Gojira, the French quartet, have earned three Grammy nominations, a spot on Rolling Stone Magazines “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” with their 2005 album, From Mars To Sirius. The band's most recent studio album, Fortitude, from 2021, debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200, topped both the Billboard Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums charts, as well as the UK Rock & Metal Albums charts. Both, Metal Hammer, and, Revolver, named it the best album of 2021.
SPIRITBOX has become a strange band, refusing to be pinned to any single genre, and constantly evolving. Their latest album, The Fear Of Fear, came out late in 2023, hitting number 116 on the Billboard 200., and number 5 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart. With Wall of Sound saying, "Whether it’s the soul-crushing heavy hits or the softly delivered melodic rock songs, they always keep us guessing, and they’re only getting better with each release they unleash."
