King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard have been on a roll since they formed in 2010. The band has been releasing albums left and right - even going as far as releasing five albums in 2017. Honestly, they're so in touch with their craft and it seems like the ideas never stop coming! In 2022, they also released three albums in a year.

Now, on October 27th, 2023, they unleashed their 25th studio album, "The Silver Cord." This proved that King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard has no idea of the meaning of slowing down. This album is no ordinary affair. Forget your usual rock & roll guitar riffs; "The Silver Cord" is a synth-filled extravaganza. If you didn’t know, it was all recorded with analog equipment. It's definitely signaling a bold departure from their usual sound.

There are two versions of "The Silver Cord," and they're not just a slight remix. The standard edition is a concise 28 minutes of auditory bliss, whereas the extended edition is a marathon that'll take you on an 89-minute journey. Frontman Stu Mackenzie talked about it in an interview: “We're testing the boundaries of people's attention spans when it comes to listening to music, perhaps – but I'm heavily interested in destroying such concepts.”

Oh, and if you didn’t know, this album is actually the second one they’ve released this year. Their thrash-metal record ‘PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation’ was released earlier in 2023.

More about the upcoming tour from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, this massive tour is taking them across North America, South America, and Europe. The North American dates feature four special shows wherein the band will play for three straight hours. The show in Toronto will be a standard set. But don’t worry! It’s still going to be as awesome as you can expect.

Get ready to have a live show you'll never forget as King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard rocks the Budweiser Stage!
