ROOTS, ROCK, SOCA TOUR

Get ready for a showcase of ROOTS, ROCK, and SOCA on TOUR as KES kicks off a wild run of shows across North America. This year, the band will be bringing their genre-bending traditional Caribbean sounds with modern takes. Infusing elements of R&B, Pop, Rock, Soca, EDM and reggae in their tunes, they make some of the most unique music out there.

“Roots, Rock, Soca is our story and a representation of Caribbean culture and music. This tour aims to share that joyful spirit with new fans,” said Kees Dieffenthaller.

The tour announcement follows a great year so far for the “We Home” band. In January, they had a sold-out two-night performance at the Unity Jazz Festival — showcasing the wonder of Soca music in one of the world’s highly-respected Jazz music institutions. They also held a sold-out night at SummerStage in Central Park, once again showcasing Soca music, offering a cultural night in the heart of Manhattan.

DISCOVER MORE ABOUT KES

The band is made up of Kees Dieffenthaller on lead vocals, Jon Dieffenthaller on guitar, Geiron Mang and Mario Callender on keyboards, Dean James on drums, and Riad Boochoon on bass. Their live shows feature a team of creative hearts who help bring the magic of Soca to new heights.

Led by these brothers, the band grew up developing a heart for music. In college, they met Riad Boochoon, a classically trained pianist, and they later formed the core of what would become Limestone and Rydimorai. In 2006, they released their debut album “Three Baldheads and a Dread” as Kes, featuring songs like “Stay with Me” and “Heads High.”

In 2011, Kes the band released their fourth studio album “Wotless.” Marking their mainstream breakthrough, it’s an era that defined the group’s massive rise. They became the first Caribbean band to perform on Good Day New,York. They were also nominated for a BET Soul Train Music Award, for “Best Caribbean Performance.” From then on, Kes kept it all up, making signature masterpieces that solidified their reputation, making Soca go global. They were also crowned T&T's International Groovy Soca Monarch.
