Hootie & The Blowfish, the titans of pop rock, invite you to their roadshow comeback this spring of 2024, featuring special guests Collective Soul and Edwin McCain! Five years since their last full outing, the twice GRAMMY Award-winning band busts out their “Summer Camp with Trucks Tour,” a North American series of concerts produced by Live Nation. The trip will have them visit 43 cities coast-to-coast, including the Budweiser Stage on September 7!

“Basically overnight, our lives changed when Cracked Rear View did what it did – and yet as we quickly moved from vans and college bars to tour busses and arenas, not much else changed with how we approached making music and sharing it with our fans,” guitarist Mark Bryan reflected in an official press release.

No matter the era and no matter the stage, Hootie & The Blowfish’s sound is unmistakable, hallmarked by lead singer Darius Rucker’s cool blues voice and upbeat melodies by guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber, and drummer Jim Sonefeld.

Together, the four-man ensemble sold over 25 million records worldwide, dominating the mid-90s airwaves with eclectic rock tunes. Their debut album, Cracked Rear View, dropped in 1994 to unprecedented universal acclaim, ranking first in the Billboard 200 chart. It featured most of the group’s greatest hits, including Hot 100 Top 10 singles “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry,” and “Only Wanna Be with You.” The album would eventually hit 2x Diamond (21x Platinum) status, becoming the 19th best-selling album of all time in the United States.

Hootie & The Blowfish would later continue their reign with the Billboard 200 number-one album Fairweather Johnson, which featured the Adult Alternative chart-topper “Old Man & Me,” and the platinum-selling Musical Chairs, which listed the Adult Top 40 hit “I Will Wait.”

Multi-platinum band Collective Soul will be the first guest, kickstarting the show with some infectiously catchy alt-rock appetizers. They produced eight number-one singles, including the BMI Pop Award-winning “Shine,” “December,” and “The World I Know.”

“Street corner prophet” Edwin McCain, on the other hand, will bring his romantic tenor and blue-eyed soul into the mix. Two of his most iconic tracks include the Hot 100 Top 5 hits “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More.”

Toronto’s state-of-the-art Budweiser Stage presents a uniquely breathtaking backdrop for the show, complementing modern concert amenities — from perfectly pitched acoustics to dynamic light setups — with a view of Lake Ontario’s scenic waters.
