Davido has to be one of the best entertainment exports that Africa has given the world. Taking advantage of a genre of music called Afrobeat, Davido burst onto the scene in 2012 with his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo, which featured the smash hit single Dami Duro. That single really pushed the genre to international fame, gave Davido the platform to bring his talents to international audiences, and became THE dancefloor filler at parties everywhere.

From 2012 to 2019, he signed major deals with Sony and RCA, started his own record label, Davido Music Worldwide, had a slew of talented artists on his roster, and really paved the way for the genre. He released massive singles like “Fia,” “If,” and “Fall,” which became smash hits and broke records. All of this really opened the doors for the genre in North America, and by 2019, he had given the world his second studio album, “A Good Time,” and followed it up with 2020's “A Better Time,” his third album.

Davido has done it all, from selling out the O2 arena twice to having FIFA, the world soccer organization, handpick the superstar to create and lead the 2022 World Cup's Hayya Hayya soundtrack and close its ceremony, seen by a quarter of a billion people around the globe. There is no stopping him now, and with a new tour on the horizon, you know it's going to be massive.

His 2023 album features 17 awesome Amapiano tracks. It has already been making waves, getting over 133 million streams in its first week of release. His three singles from the album are already doing wonders on the Billboard Afrobeat chart, with “Unavailable” debuting at number 2, “Over Dem,” at number 10, and “Feel” at number 11.
