Daryl Hall and John Oates, often referred to as just Hall & Oates, are an American duo, originally from Philadelphia. Famed for the classic hits “Maneater”, “I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)” and “Kiss On My List”, they achieved their enormous success in the mainstream music charts from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s with their specific blend of rock and roll and rhythm and blues, which they termed "rock and soul".
