Canadian rock band Billy Talent is bringing their high-energy show to the Budweiser Stage in Toronto! On Saturday, 8th July 2023, the Juno Award-winning quintet will deliver their smashing hits, fan favorites, and new songs from their latest album, Crisis of Faith! The band will also bring in special guests Cypress Hill and Toronto hometown heroes Cancer Bats and The OBGMS! This show follows Billy Talent's spring outing, which promoted their latest effort, Crisis of Faith, released through Spinefarm Records last year. Billy Talent has had a phenomenal career as one of Canada’s top rock bands. They have sold over three million copies worldwide, one million of which were sold in Canada. Since 2003, Billy Talent has been belting out several rock staples, such as “Fallen Leaves,” “Rusted from the Rain,” “Viking Death Match,” and “Reckless Paradise,” among others. In 2003, they dropped their breakthrough self-titled debut album, which peaked at number 6 on the Canadian chart. The record also made a humble entrance in the U.S. Billboard 200. Starting 2006, with the release of their sophomore album, Billy Talent II, the band has been continuously topping the Canadian chart. Moreover, Billy Talent II peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and entered the charts in seven other countries. The chart-topping effort earned a quadruple platinum status after selling over 300,000 copies in Canada.
This 2023, the band embarked on several local and international outings. They also briefly co-headlined a tour with punk rock icons, Rise Against. This summer, they come home to Toronto to deliver a killer show with several special guests. In a statement, the band shared their excitement about performing a hometown show. “Toronto! There’s nothing like coming home. We are beyond stoked to be coming back to the Bud Stage as it’s been way too long since we last played there,” say the rockers. “With that in mind, we wanted to do something special and to bring the most badass lineup we could.
