Toronto, the Cake famine has ended! This spring you can have your cake and eat it all, down to the very last crumb! It’s not every day the world’s quirkiest, tastiest, and most eclectic band hits the road, and the news is sweet indeed!
Sacramento-based rock band Cake took up the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle in the early 1990s, and has since become known and adored around the globe for their irresistible, ear-worm type of melodies; their unique blend of a large variety of styles - from country and rock to funk and mariachi, from disco and folk to hip hop and alternative; their tight musicianship, spontaneous jams, and knack for surprises. To date, Cake has released six studio albums, and racked up four California Music Award nominations, as well as a MTV Video Music Award nomination.
When everybody else goes right, charismatic frontman John McCrea and his henchmen - multi-instrumentalist Vince DeFiore, drummer Todd Roper, guitarist Xan McCurdy, and bassist Daniel McCallum - go right. Just think about it: who writes songs about safety belds, stickshifts, sheep that go to heaven, goats that go to hell, and Austrian noblemen commissioning a symphony in C? On top of their tongue-in-cheekness, you won’t catch Cake doing the same show twice - every time they descend upon a stage, it’s different. They are so insanely unpredictable, the only thing you can really expect of them is a fantastic time that you won’t ever forget!
Cake is down-to-earth, crispy, fun, and enigmatic; they ooze groovy rock vibes and an infectious energy, they are mind-blowing musicians bursting with a rare kind of musical prowess; they are masters at jamming; and just perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, they are just about one of the best bands out there today.

The venue, previously known as the Budweiser Stage, ticks all the boxes - from the state-of-the-art sound and light to its fantastic amenities, from its great sight-lines to its superb acoustics, and boasts seating for up to 16,000 patrons spread across various areas.
